Youth Soccer Coaches Love The Soccer Handbook

Our mission at The Soccer Handbook is simple: support youth soccer coaches at the most fundamental levels of soccer development and help grow the beautiful game throughout the United States.

We were beyond excited to get feedback from some of the first coaches who have put our platform into action, and we wanted you to see some of their successes for yourself.

Girls U12 Assistant Soccer Coach Kristy G.

As a Girls U12 Soccer Coach, Coach G. said, “I think it makes coaching much more manageable and effective for people who don’t have much coaching or playing experience.  I definitely think that the club should continue with this program for rec soccer.”

When we asked for specifics, Kristy let us know that what she liked the most about The Soccer Handbook was how it has an, “Organized, directed plan for each practice that progressed throughout the season.”

Kristy went on to tell us she used The Soccer Handbook multiple times a week and that other coaches that she told about The Soccer Handbook wished we would make a platform for their sport.

Soccer Head Coach Lindsey S.

Head Coach Lindsey S. told us, “I appreciated having The Soccer Handbook as a systematic tool to teach skills. I bounced from week to week depending on what we needed to work on.”

Coach S. reported that she typically used The Soccer Handbook twice a week, and her favorite aspect was having access to all the different drills. Our platform is designed to eliminate practice planning stress for coaches, allowing them to focus on the aspects of coaching they love.

A Shy Soccer Coach or Two

We had a few coaches respond to our survey but asked not to be identified. Below are some additional comments we received about from early adopters of The Soccer Handbook:

  • “As someone who is not experienced in playing soccer, let alone coaching it, I found the program helpful.  It gave me a guide for practice and had enough drills that were competitive and game-like.  My practices were only 1.5 hours, so the fact that this gave about 2 hours worth of stuff gave me plenty to do.”
  • “The program was easy to use and provided a good mix of drills that definitely helped our players develop as the season progressed.”
  • “I was able to use multiple drills throughout the season. I knew which drills my team would be able to handle and which drills wouldn’t work with my particular team.  Lots of new players that have a hard time with the basics.”
  • “I was very pleased with The Soccer Handbook and would not have been able to have organized practices without it.”

Coach With Confidence

The Soccer Handbook is designed to help new soccer coaches, parent soccer coaches, and volunteer soccer coaches.

Our goal is to make running practice as a coach as easy as possible so that coaches can enjoy coaching instead of stressing out. Our subscription platform puts a whole season’s worth of practice sessions, drills, and training videos in your pocket that are easy to reference while on the practice pitch.

In addition to the subscriber content, we have a library of free resources for you to use as well. We have dozens of informational articles about topics like:
